By downloading, accessing, or using WhatBins ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. The Service

WhatBins is a free utility app that helps you keep track of your local council's bin collection schedule. The service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the WhatBins services or API
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or access the API for purposes other than personal bin schedule lookups
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Redistribute or commercially exploit any data obtained from the service

4. Accuracy of Information

Bin collection schedule data is sourced from local councils. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that collection dates or bin types will always be correct. Schedules may change due to bank holidays, adverse weather, or council decisions.

You should always check with your local council if you are unsure about a collection date.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information provided will be accurate or complete.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhatBins and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

In particular, we accept no responsibility for any missed bin collections resulting from inaccurate or outdated schedule data.

7. Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
